Hi, I'm Beth —
Basketball has been part of my life since I was able to hold a ball.
My name is Beth Sheehan. I'm excited to share some of my journeys through the game — past, present, and future — and to think out loud about how basketball has shaped so much of who I am.
The growth and excitement around women's basketball pulled me back to the game in a joyful way. Only recently, in my 50s, did I realize how deeply basketball is woven into my life. Through Journeys of Our Game, I want to embrace that connection while recognizing that my story is just one of many.
My hope is that this space becomes a place to celebrate the people, memories, and personal journeys that make this game — and this community — so powerful. I'm glad you're here.

Beth, at a glance —
A life connected to the game
Beth Sheehan has spent much of her life connected to basketball — as a player, behind the scenes, and in the classroom. Her path has taken her from competing at the NCAA Division I level to working with the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic basketball staff, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, and Georgia Tech Women's Basketball, where she served as Director of Women's Basketball Operations, and later earning a doctorate in sport management.
Today, she teaches sport management and creates Journeys of Our Game to look back, think out loud, and celebrate women's basketball.
