Hi, I'm Beth —
Basketball has been part of my life since I was able to hold a ball.
My name is Beth Sheehan. I'm excited to share some of my journeys through the game — past, present, and future — and to think out loud about how basketball has shaped so much of who I am.
The growth and excitement around women's basketball pulled me back to the game in a joyful way. Only recently, in my 50s, did I realize how deeply basketball is woven into my life. Through Journeys of Our Game, I want to embrace that connection while recognizing that my story is just one of many.
My hope is that this space becomes a place to celebrate the people, memories, and personal and collective journeys that make this game — and this community — so powerful. I'm glad you're here.

Beth, at a glance —
A life connected to the game
Beth Sheehan has spent much of her life connected to basketball — as a player, behind the scenes, and in the classroom. Her path has taken her from competing at the NCAA Division I level to working with the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic basketball staff, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, and Georgia Tech Women's Basketball, and later earning a doctorate in sport management.
Today, she teaches sport management and creates Journeys of Our Game to look back, think out loud, and celebrate women's basketball.
